Service on washer/dryer combo.

The good was the serviceman arrived on a timely basis. His diagnostics and repairs were fast. The bad was he said a limit thermostat and safety thermostat were bad along with the heating element which was actually broke. The 2 old thermostats were ok, but he did not replace them. I now have about $120 worth of parts that I was told to keep for future replacement. I feels Sears should issue a refund for the parts and I will return them. There was no adjustment for any labor either.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. The maintenane contract is outsourced customer service. When you complain they all sound like robots reading off que cards, they promise that someone higher will call you back and sound so sincere off que card. No one Evers calls back
Called regarding getting my refrigerator ice maker repaired they scheduled appointment then within 1/2 a day the technician called said they had to reschedule because they did not have someone in my area, rescheduled for the next week from 8 am -12 noon was the agreement, received a text within 5 minutes stating time agreed is 8 am to 5 pm. Which is a lie, I called Sears maintenance department and that’s when the customer “no” service nightmare started called 5 times got nowhere.
Sears maintenance used to be the best and customer service was excellent now it’s definitely a nightmare outsourced service that you can barely understand.
I will never renew my maintenance contract with them.
It’s a shame that the great name and legacy of Sears turned into this horrible nightmare.

Worst service company ever

Worst service company ever. Charged $523 to fix refrigerator and within 29 minutes after leaving, it was broken again. Called 3 times and got no satisfaction. Had to reschedule and now have to wait a week for them to return. Asked for supervisor to call me. They didn’t. Disputing charge with my bank as billing department would not refund my money until unit is actually fixed. Do not use these crooks.

"Fixed" the ice maker but still no ice

The push pad on our ice maker did not work, although it continued to make ice. After a 3 week wait Sears came and told us the push pad on our ice maker did not work (duh), ordered a part and then we waited another 3 weeks - BUT the ice maker no longer made ice! They finally came, installed the new part and left, BUT the ice maker STILL does not make ice. They want us to wait 4 weeks and pay for another visit. NEVER AGAIN WILL SEARS STEP INSIDE MY HOUSE!

Sears home service

Sears home service, showed up close to on time after 2 updates. The technician was as good at getting the repair done on the dishwasher. The dishwasher is working great. Technician was a little sarcastic and wasn’t prepared to do the job. I had to give him a towel to absorb the water that leaked on the floor. Also he didn’t protect the linoleum from being damaged which made a deep indention possible tear in the spot where the foot of the dishwasher was laying on the floor.

Labor cost for our 15 repair is $347 .

Labor cost for our repair is $347 for replacement of gaskets and a "flipper"that we didn't think was necessary. The technician indicated that it WAS necessary. Flipper ordered at $158. Parts installed within 15 minutes. Flipper not working and gaskets are all wet. Return scheduling by individuals in a foreign country for 2 weeks from now. Request made to speak to a local rep, and they refused to do that. Until then we just need to mop up every time we open the fridge. We'll see what happens...

Massive Rip-Off

Unless you enjoy burning cash, you should absolutely avoid Sears Home Services for appliance repair. As shown on receipt, the Thermal Fuse to repair our dryer was about $20. The job took about 45 minutes to complete. They charged $341.95 for that. That equates to a labor rate of about $456 an hr.! For a fuse!! The technician deflected responsibility saying that the labor expense is not something he could adjust as it is pre-determined by Sears software program he used to create invoice. Never Again.

The tech charged 115

The tech charged 115. He said he can normally give an estimate but he had a problem figuring out the ordering of parts under warranty.

He said his boss would figure that out and would give me an estimate.

LG warranty requires that sears technician order the warranty parts directly with them.

Well it's been 4 days and no call with an estimate from Sears repair.

So I'm forced to buy a new refrigerator.

So LG makes it difficult to use their warranty and Sear repair charges 115 and gave no help to get it fixed.

Same on Sears A&E Service

Since May have been trying to get A&E repair along with LG to come repair me refrigerator. A&E would schedule me for a repair and late in the afternoon they would cancel my repair. They did this (5) times. Finally had a Serviceman come on the 6th scheduled appt. Asked twice to talk to a Service manager and was told they would call me. This never happened. Service man was very pleasant and worked on the refrigerator. Unfortunately his repair at my expense did not fix the problem. It’s now mid Sept and refrigerator still not working. Will not ever use A&E again or purchase an LG product.

6 months my freezer hasn’t been…

6 months my freezer hasn’t been freezing. So I called for my warranty. Waited 3 months for someone to come (no joke), so I’m at 9 months now. Tge guy comes in, no tools, spends less than 5 minutes in my house, tells me someone didn’t shut the door right, unplug it for 3 days and it’ll be fixed. Really??? I am not an idiot. I know how to close a freezer door.
